Ecclesfield Grammar School Camping expedition to Hawick c1960
For many years teacher Mr Richard (Dick) Endall (centre, wearing glasses) organised camping expeditions from Ecclesfield Grammar School to Hawick in the Scottish borders. This group of happy campers was photographed at their campsite in about 1960. Camping was just one of the many extra-curricular activities organised by the school staff, others included a debating society, a square dancing club and a works visit society.
